It remains one of the most striking buildings in the town centre, Coops Building on Dorning Street is certainly one that catches the eye.
Originally a clothing factory built around 1870 it retains many of its original features.

This is the view of the entrance, taken from King Street West as it approaches Dorning Street.

Looking up Dorning Street, the Coops Building is on the left, and you get a really good feel for the design and architecture of the place.

Typical of many mills and factories of the time, the building feels very angular with every facade offering an impressive view.

The local lighting provides a great addition to the building, even on a typically wet and cold northern evening in Wigan.
