If ever there was a building that is an absolute work of art, it would be the Town Hall in Wigan with its amazing red bricks and terracotta tiles.
With its main entrance on Library Street, the sheer craftsmanship is a sight to behold.

The flight of stone steps take you from the street level up through the gates, to the large entrance doors under the Town Hall sign.

There is even a small moat that runs around the outer perimeter, its not filled with water but provides a little seperation.

There is a separate entrance on Hewlett Street for the Council offices, but the great artistry that it took to build the structure is still there for all to see.

There is what appears to be a more modern annexe on the rear as it runs along Millgate, and it does match well with the original structure.
