In the centre of the town, out on the road to Scholes and beyond, lies Wigan Little Theatre on the banks of the River Douglas as it passes through town.

As the name suggests, the red-bricked old theatre is quite small and intimate, but a great little addition to the town's culture.

A very ornate entrance way flanked by columns and great architecture welcomes the visitors to their evening of entertainment.

The image below gives you an idea of the size of the interior, including the stage as it sweeps back from the road and the river.

It makes for quite a spectacular nightly sight when the lights are all on and the show is in motion.
